DENVER—Environmentalists are piling on criticism of Republican Ken Buck because he questions whether humans are causing global warming.
Democrats have poked fun at Buck in recent days because Buck questions manmade global warming. On Friday, the League of Conservation Voters pulled together scientists to decry Buck’s position.
The scientists included Colorado State University Scott Denning, who told reporters that manmade global warming is “not a hoax.”
Buck called global warming a hoax earlier this week. Buck later said that he questions man’s effect on global warming, not the existence of global warming. The League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club have both spent money in Colorado campaigning against Buck.
