PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.—The North American Aerospace Defense Command says one of its fighter jets intercepted an aircraft that violated a temporary flight restriction near Santa Clara, Calif.
NORAD says the aircraft landed without incident at Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose, Calif., on Thursday.
The fighter was an F-15 from Mountain Home Air Base, Idaho. No other information was released.
NORAD is a joint U.S.-Canadian command that patrols the skies over North America. It’s based at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo.
