Cam Newton, Auburn: The junior quarterback had a record-setting day in the win over No. 6 LSU. Newton set an SEC season record for rushing yards by a quarterback (1,077) and a school season record for rushing and passing TDs (27). He had 217 yards rushing on 28 carries and added 86 yards passing (10-of-16).
Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State: He threw for 270 yards (16-of-22) and three scores (but two interceptions) in the Buckeyes’ 49-0 steamrolling of Purdue. Ohio State called in the backups early.
Denard Robinson, Michigan: Nursed shoulder injury during bye week, and the Wolverines next play Saturday at Penn State.
LaMichael James, Oregon: In Thursday’s blowout of UCLA,
James finished with 123 yards and two TDs on the ground for the Ducks after spending part of the first quarter on the sideline with an apparent ankle injury.
Kellen Moore, Boise State: Off Saturday, and the Broncos next play Tuesday night against Louisiana Tech.
