DEKALB, Ill. — Police have found human remains in a park where a missing Northern Illinois University student was thought to be going.
Police said they recovered items consistent with property belonging to Antinette “Toni” Keller.
Chief of Police Bill Feithen said Saturday that the remains had not been positively identified. But police said the search had been reclassified as a death investigation.
Keller, a freshman from Plainfield, was last seen in the early afternoon of Oct. 14.
