PUEBLO, Colo.—A man accused of trying to blow up the home of a Colorado police officer who was set to testify against him in a Peeping Tom case is set to go on trial in March in a separate sexual assault case.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports that a judge ruled Friday that there is sufficient evidence to try 48-year-old Robert H. Bruce in Pueblo on rape charges.

He is accused of raping a woman in 2006. The case resembles a string of cases in Albuquerque, N.M., in which a suspect dubbed the Ether Man rendered women unconscious, then sexually assaulted them.

Bruce was convicted in August in the Peeping Tom case. An attempted murder charge accusing him of rigging a propane tank outside a Pueblo officer’s home is pending.
