Vail Resorts Inc. paid $63 million for Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort in North Lake Tahoe, Calif.
Vail Resorts acquired the stock of the companies that operate the resort from Booth Creek Resort Properties LLC and other sellers.
The Sierra-at-Tahoe is not part of the acquisition and will continue to be operated by Booth Creek.
As a result of the acquisition, Vail Resorts’ Epic Season Pass will now offer eight resorts for the 2010-11 ski season.
