Shares of Castle Rock-based AspenBio Pharma Inc. rose 25 percent, or 14 cents, to close at 71 cents Tuesday, after the company announced it had initiated manufacturing of its AppyScore cassette-based test system to aid emergency-department physicians in evaluating patients suspected of having appendicitis.
Initial pre-clinical market testing is anticipated to begin before the end of the fiscal year.
