Thornton police are looking for the driver of a small gray car that hit a pedestrian and drove away without stopping Tuesday night.
The victim’s name and condition were not immediately available. He was rushed to St. Anthony Central hospital in Denver, said Thornton traffic investigator Sam Vecchiarelli.
The man was crossing East 88th Avenue midblock between Corona and Washington streets when he was struck at about 7 p.m.
The car probably has damage to its right side, but no glass was broken, Vecchiarelli said.
