A woman who hit a jaywalker and then fled Tuesday night was arrested Wednesday on hit-and-run charges, Thornton police said.
Maria Delaluz Arreola, 35, of Greeley is accused of hitting a man who was crossing at mid-block on East 88th Avenue between Corona and Washington streets about 7 p.m. Tuesday.
She stopped, but left before police arrived, according to witnesses.
Robert Manuel Barros, 47, of Thornton suffered critical injuries, including fractured legs and other broken bones, police said.
