Matthew Hanson made an immediate impact at Harvard two seasons ago as a freshman, and now the junior from Boulder High School continues his impressive work in the Crimson’s secondary. The cornerback, who was named the Ivy League’s rookie of the year in 2008, has 20 tackles this season and one interception, which he returned 28 yards in the Oct. 9 win over Cornell. It was his first interception since 2008. Had four tackles and two pass breakups in a Oct. 2 win at Lafayette. Hanson is also leading the team in kickoff returns with an average of 23.4 yards, and has been returning punts. He missed the game two weeks ago against Lehigh but played in last week’s win at Princeton.
