The foreclosure crisis intensified across a majority of large U.S. metropolitan areas this summer, with Chicago and Seattle seeing a sharp increase in foreclosure warnings, RealtyTrac Inc. said Thursday.
In the Denver-Aurora area, RealtyTrac said, foreclosures were down 2.4 percent from the third quarter of last year with 1 out of 117 properties in the foreclosure process. Greeley was up 19 percent, and Colorado Springs was up 4 percent.
