Banning Lewis Ranch Co., developer of a master-planned community in Colorado Springs, filed for bankruptcy protection from creditors without giving a reason.
The company, based in Newport Beach, Calif., on Thursday listed debt of more than $100 million and assets of more than $50 million in Chapter 11 documents in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del.
