SAGUACHE, Colo.—A Colorado Springs hunter who was thrown from his horse in Saguache County has died.
The (Alamosa) Valley Courier reports that 65-year-old Dennis Midzor died Friday in a horse accident. Authorities say that after Midzor got on the horse, the animal began bucking and running back and forth. Midzor was reportedly thrown from the horse and landed on his head.
According to witnesses, Midzor was unconscious and then lost his pulse. Efforts by witnesses and Saguache County rescuers to revive Midzor with CPR failed.
Saguache County Coroner Tom Perrin says Midzor was taken to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
