Traffic is down to one lane in both directions of Federal Boulevard near Sixth Avenue because of a broken 36-inch water main.
Stacy Chesney, spokeswoman for Denver Water, said crews will be working to repair the main tonight and most of tomorrow.
She said repairs are expected to be completed by Friday evening.
The repairs are taking place in the center lanes of Federal.
