FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The common-law husband arrested in the death of a Fort Collins woman is being held on $100,000 bail.
Larimer County officials say 48-year-old John Marks Jr. remains in custody Saturday, a day after police arrested him in Loveland.
Authorities had been looking for Marks since Kathy Adams was reported missing earlier this month. An arrest warrant for him on the charge of second-degree murder was issued Wednesday.
Adams’ body was found last week in a ravine along U.S. 36 between Lyons and Estes Park. Her brother reported the 57-year-old Adams missing Oct. 12 after not hearing from her for several days.
Police said there was evidence in her home that made her disappearance suspicious.
