COLORADO SPRINGS — Investigators testified Friday that they have no physical evidence to determine who killed Genesis Sims before burying the 9-year-old girl’s body in the crawlspace beneath a Monument home, the Gazette reported.
But they do have the statements of the two suspects in the murder, each of whom have implicated the other.
The newspaper reported on testimony during a preliminary hearing. Monique Alisa Lynch, 30, is accused of first-degree murder and the girl’s father Hanif Zarif Sims, 29, is charged with second-degree murder.
