The Bruins running back rushed 14 times for 205 yards and four first-half touchdowns as Cherry Creek clinched second place in the Creek League with a 42-0 victory over Smoky Hill.

Garrett Downing, Northglenn.

The versatile Norse senior did a little bit of everything in a 24-14 win over Hinkley that assured Northglenn of second place in the 5A East Metro League. Downing caught 10 passes for 127 yards, was 2-for-2 passing, including a 68-yard touchdown, and had two interceptions.

Colton Goeas, Lewis-Palmer.

The running back rushed 20 times for 294 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter of a 27-25 win over Discovery Canyon. Goeas scored on runs of 38, 64 and 43 yards.

2. Rushing yards Monarch, ranked No. 3 in 4A, gave up to Green Mountain in a 42-14 Mountain Plains League victory. The Coyotes’ defense limited the Rams to 57 total yards, 41 coming on a touchdown pass in the third quarter. Green Mountain was 3-of-13 passing for 55 yards.
