DENVER—Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has endorsed Tom Tancredo, the American Constitution Party candidate for governor.
Palin urged voters Monday to support Tancredo, saying he will fight for lower taxes and smaller government.
Tancredo said he met Palin at the Minneapolis GOP convention and told her she gave him a reason to support the ballot because he refused to back John McCain over immigration.
GOP gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes, a tea party favorite, said Palin is becoming part of the establishment.
In a KHOW radio interview, Maes said he couldn’t see where “the courage or integrity is” in Palin’s endorsement.
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper is the Democratic candidate for governor.
