Voters from Colorado’s 1st and 4th Congressional Districts headed to the polls Tuesday night to select new University of Colorado regents.
The race in the 1st District pitted Democratic incumbent Michael Carrigan against Republican challenger Alex Maller.
Carrigan, a CU Law School graduate and senior partner at the Denver-based Holland & Hart law firm, has served on the board since 2004. Maller is a former professor of architecture at the University of Nebraska.
The 4th District race was a showdown between retired Republican Sue Sharkey and Democrat Robert Bishop-Cotner, a high school social studies teacher.
The winners will serve six-year terms.
