NEW YORK — Macy’s on Tuesday announced the list of celebrity performers for this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, covering the musical gamut from pop to hip-hop to folk. Among those slated to perform are Kanye West (pictured), Jessica Simpson, Colombian rocker Juanes, Arlo Guthrie, Gladys Knight, boy band Big Time Rush and teen singer Victoria Justice.
The range of musical styles and generations is intentional, to match the diversity of the audience that turns out to watch the parade in person and on TV, said parade spokesman Orlando Veras.
Among the giant balloons taking to the sky for the first time this year will be Kool-Aid Man and Kung-Fu Panda They will be joining crowd favorites such as Buzz Lightyear and Snoopy, dressed as a flying ace.
