The Colorado Board of Education on Wednesday unanimously appointed Robert Hammond as interim commissioner and announced that Dwight Jones’ final day as commissioner will be Dec. 13.
Jones, 48, is leaving to become superintendent of Nevada’s Clark County schools in Las Vegas.
