DENVER—A bus driver has pleaded guilty in a crash in Denver that killed two people and injured 11 people.

The Denver district attorney’s office says 30-year-old Tideneykiyalesh (tie-den-ee-kee-yah-lesh) Hawariyat (haw-rahr-ee-yat) pleaded guilty Wednesday to two counts of careless driving resulting in death and one count of careless driving resulting in injury.

She faces three years of probation and such conditions as community service when she is sentenced Jan. 6.

Police say the bus ran a red light and crashed into two vehicles in April. Two people in one car were killed and another driver and 10 bus passengers were injured.

Hawariyat was driving a Regional Transportation District bus, but was employed by a private contractor.
