DENVER—A Colorado man stopped by police as he drove through Denver with a siren and red light going on his Jeep has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison for possessing a machine gun and stealing firearms.
Andrew Thomas Gunzer of Littleton pleaded guilty to the charges in July and was sentenced Friday to 46 months in prison. Police say they found a machine gun, three other firearms and ammunition in Gunzer’s Jeep during a traffic stop in March.
Authorities say Gunzer was driving in Denver with a siren sounding and red light flashing. They say they seized 14 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition from his home.
Authorities say Gunzer took the machine gun from the firearms company where he worked.
