Northwestern Mutual, a Milwaukee-based insurer and financial services company, said Friday it plans to hire about 40 financial-planning sales representatives in Colorado over the next 12 months.
The company has 106 representatives in five offices along the Front Range and will open a new office in the Vail area later this year.
The company’s full-time representatives are paid through commissions and earn an average of $65,000 to $75,000 during their first year, said Monica Kerber, chief recruiting officer for Northwestern Mutual Denver. The company also is looking to add about 60 part- time, paid college interns in the state.
