Colorado State graduate and PGA Tour professional Martin Laird has put together an impressive start to his first four years on tour, recently ranked as one of the top 50 golfers in the world.
The Scot’s six top-10 appearances this year have shot him up six places in the world rankings, to 49th. If he can retain his rank until Dec. 31, Laird will compete in all four majors and all world golf championship events in 2011.
Rollergirls win league championship.
The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls won the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s league title after beating the Oly Rollers 147-146 on Sunday.
The Rollergirls, seeded No. 1 coming out of the West Regional, trailed 84-49 at the half.
The Oly Rollers were the defending champions.
