GRAND JUNCTION — A Goodwill store here is auctioning off a purported lithograph of a Salvador Dali work.
A customer at the Grand Junction shop recently pointed out the signature on the print of “The Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus,” which was numbered 168 out of 300.
Manager Bill Atwell told KMGH-TV Channel 7 that he doesn’t know who donated the piece. Its authenticity hasn’t been verified.
As of Monday afternoon, bidding had climbed to $550. The original painting is in the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Fla. The Associated Press; Photo special to The Post
