DENVER—The Colorado Class 3A boy’s soccer championship game has been postponed because of the snowy weather.
The game scheduled Tuesday night between The Classical Academy and St. Mary’s, both in Colorado Springs, has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Nov. 16 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
Bert Borgmann of the Colorado High School Activities Association said a decision would be made by noon Wednesday whether the Class 4A and 5A games scheduled that night will be played.
Borgmann said athletic officials were concerned about the high school teams playing in the snow and cold Tuesday and possible damage to the field where the Colorado Rapids play.
The Rapids host San Jose in the MLS Eastern Conference final Saturday.
