ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot is expected to grow to an estimated $25 million after no one matched all six of the numbers in the midweek drawing.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 5, 8, 11, 40 and 44. The Powerball was 10 and the Power Play was 4.
Tickets matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $20 million jackpot.
A Power Play ticket sold in Florida matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million.
Colorado’s top prize was $400 each for 17 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
It’s now played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
