The Colorado volleyball team signed two players for next season, including Kelsey English of Colorado Springs’ Doherty High School.

English is a 6-foot-2 middle blocker. Buffaloes coach Liz Kritza also added Neira Ortiz, a 6-5 outside hitter from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

• Oklahoma swept Colorado in a Big 12 Conference match Wednesday in Norman, Okla., winning 25-8, 25-16 and 25-17.

The Sooners improved to 18-8 overall and 10-5 in the Big 12. The Buffs dropped to 6-16 and 3-13. Richi Bigelow led CU with eight kills.

Rams reload their volleyball roster.

The Colorado State volleyball team added outside hitter Kaila Thomas on the first day of the prep recruiting early signing period.

Thomas, a 6-1 outside hitter from Murrieta, Calif., was named all-conference in each of her four high school seasons and plays for the powerhouse Laguna Beach Volleyball Club. She was ranked No. 35 on ‘s “Senior Aces” list.

Cowgirls getting four basketball players.

The Wyoming women’s basketball team signed three Colorado high school players and one from Wyoming: Alison Gorrell, a 5-10 guard from Conifer High School in Evergreen; Kaitlyn Mileto, a 5-10 guard from Mesa Ridge High in Colorado Springs; Jordan Sibrel, a 6-1 forward from Loveland’s Thompson Valley High; and Kayla Woodward, a 5-11 forward from Sheridan (Wyo.) High.

Wyoming signs 6-foot-6 volleyball star.

Three prep players will join the Wyoming volleyball team next season after signing letters of intent, led by Katherine Feldman, a 6-6 middle blocker from Pine Creek High in Colorado Springs. The others are Bridget Shanahan, a 6-2 outside hitter from Gasport, N.Y., and Whitney Smith, a 6-0 setter from Katy, Texas.

Silver Creek golfer picks CSU.

The Colorado State women’s golf team signed three players to letters of intent, including Mikayla Tatman, a standout at Silver Creek High School in Longmont. The Rams also added Jessa LaBarbera of Allen, Texas, and Haley King of Elkhart, Ind.

DU soccer players saluted.

Two University of Denver men’s soccer players, senior goalkeeper Joe Willis and forward Jarod Stigall, received first-team all- Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors.

Willis ranked second in the nation in save percentage (.909), fifth in goals-against average (0.48) and 16th in saves per game (5.0). He recorded four shutouts and did not allow more than one goal in his 10 games. It was his third all-conference honor.

Stigall led the MPSF in assists (eight) and points (24) and was tied for second in goals (eight). He had two game-winning goals in the Pioneers’ last four games, helping them rise from third to first place in the league.

• Also receiving first-team all-MPSF honors was Air Force sophomore midfielder Kevin Durr, who tallied 10 points for the Falcons, including four goals — all of which were game-winners.

Eagles survive CHL shootout.

Kevin Ulanski and Scott May scored in the shootout to give the Colorado Eagles a 4-3 win over Rapid City in a Central Hockey League game at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. Eagles goaltender Kyle Jones stopped 38-of-41 shots in regulation and overtime and all four shots he faced in the shootout. Rapid City forced overtime by scoring with only 17 seconds left. Riley Nelson con- tributed a goal and an assist for Colorado.
