FORT CARSON, Colo.—A colonel assigned to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson has been nominated for promotion to brigadier general.

The Army announced Wednesday that Col. Jeffrey L. Bailey is in line for the promotion.

Bailey is the 4th Infantry Division’s deputy commander for operations. He is currently in northern Iraq, where the 4th Infantry’s headquarters unit is in charge of U.S. troops in seven provinces.
