HOTELS: The magazine’s annual Hotelier of the World awards honored Stephen Bartolin Jr., president and chief executive officer of the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, as the Independent Hotelier. Readers of the magazine chose the winners.
BONFILS BLOOD CENTER: Announced the recent appointment of Anil Mathai as vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Mathai most recently served as the global quality-systems manager for Merck.
VETERANS GREEN JOBS: Named William Doe III chief executive.
NATIONAL CENTER FOR MEDIA FORENSICS: Recently hired Catalin Grigoras as director. The center is part of the College of Arts & Media at the University of Colorado Denver.
AFRICAID INC.: Elected Carrie Besnette Hauser, Metropolitan State College of Denver’s vice president for institutional advancement and executive director of its foundation, to its board of directors.
DHM: Announced the promotion of several staff members at its three Colorado offices. Promoted in the Denver office were: Eileen Kemp and Bill Gotthelf, to senior associate; Ryan Holdorf, associate; Kyle Davis, Nathan King and Matt Norcross, to senior designer. At the Durango office, Katie Nelson was named an associate, and at the Carbondale office, Jason Jaynes was named senior associate.
CAPLAN AND EARNEST: Announced that Toni Wehman joined the litigation practice and that Cindy Pechon has joined the health care group.
PROFESSIONAL INDEPENDENT INSURANCE AGENTS OF COLORADO: Pinnacol marketing manager Michelle Munden won the Company Marketing Person of the Year award.
COLORADO AIDS PROJECT: Elected Darrell Vigil, of Omni Institute, as president, replacing Richard Corbetta of Dufford & Brown PC.
