A third Denver man is now in custody as Aurora police continue to investigate the death of 51-year-old Michael Pinkus.
Pinkus’ body was found in a hotel near his home Oct. 15 shortly after his home in the 14200 block of East Baltic Circle was robbed. Pinkus was not home during the break-in. Three witnesses described a man who looked like Steven Wayne Bassett, 27, to police. About 45 minutes later, police arrested Bassett in the parking lot of the Crestwood Suites Hotel. Pinkus’ body was found at the hotel.
Robert Harper Jr., 18, was arrested Oct. 29, and on Wednesday, Maliek Bailey, 35, was booked into the Arapahoe County Detention Center.
