DILLON, Colo.—Two blazing vehicles and a diesel fuel spill on Interstate 70 shut down several highway lanes in Dillon for more than an hour Friday night.
Lake Dillon Fire District officials say they received a call of a semi-trailer fully engulfed in flames at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
While en route, the firefighters took another call about a car burning near the semi.
The Denver Post reports that witnesses say the accident occurred when truck collided with the car. The woman and two small children in the car received just minor injuries.
One of the truck’s side tanks spilled about 50 gallons of diesel fuel on the roadway.
Several lanes were shut for about an hour while crews put out the blaze and contained the spill.
No other details of the accident were immediately available.
