Jessica Simpson is going to tie the knot.

Her reps said that the singer and actress is engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson.

The announcement comes less than two weeks after Jessica Simpson’s former husband and “Newlyweds” co-star Nick Lachey announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.

The 30-year-old Simpson and 31-year-old Johnson — who played for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints — have been dating since May.

How’s Lachey, 37, feel about Simpson’s news?

“I will say the same thing I always say: I wish her the very best,” he told UsMagazine on Monday.

Simpson and Lachey split in 2005 after three years of marriage.

Kanye West‘s media trainer quit after just three days of working with the rapper following his interview on the “Today” show last week in which he claims he was “set up.”

West was invited onto the program to respond to comments ex-President George W. Bush had made to Matt Lauer about West saying Bush “didn’t care about black people” in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Bush had called the comments a low point in his presidency.

The rapper’s camp last Monday hired Susie Arons, an executive vice president at Rubenstein Communications, for help handling the interview, according to the New York Post. They agreed West should cancel the interview, and it was called off Monday night, the Post says.

But last Tuesday morning, they apparently held a confab to at NBC’s Rockefeller Center studio to rehearse possible responses to Lauer.

According to a show insider, when the interview began “it was as though he had crammed for a test and then his mind went blank.”

West grew frustrated when a clip of him interrupting Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was shown and said, “Yo, how am I supposed to talk if you’re going to run the thing in the middle while I’m talking?”

The interview aired Thursday, and Arons resigned from working with him Friday morning, the Post says.

Seems everybody is going to be in the “Hangover 2.”

First Liam Neeson, and now Bill Clinton will have cameos in the sequel to “The Hangover.”

And now comes a report from The Wrap that says Paul Giamatti will be heading to Thailand to film the role of the tattoo artist that was originally planned for Mel Gibson’s cameo.

Clinton, who’ll play himself in the “The Hangover 2,” shot his cameo over the weekend in Bangkok, where part of the production takes place, according to People. He was in the capital city to deliver a speech on clean energy.

In the first “Hangover,” which follows a bachelor bash gone very wrong in Vegas, Mike Tyson had a smallish part that also involved his tiger. The cameo was believed to have helped rehab the fighter’s image. Mel Gibson had been lined up to do a similar cameo in the sequel in hopes of doing the same for his image, but cast and crew members reportedly shot the idea down.

With Giamatti in the mix and reports saying he’ll play the tattoo artist, Neeson’s role is uncertain.

Directed by Todd Philips, the sequel, like the original, also stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha.

Madonna has announced that she’ll open a series of Hard Candy Fitness Centers worldwide that reportedly will offer “dance-based workouts.”

Her first gym opens in Mexico City this month, with plans for Russia and Europe.

The Material Girl has partnered with her manager, Guy Oseary, and Mark Mastrov, the founder and former CEO of 24 Hour Fitness, to open a chain of fitness centers around the world, according to CBS.

Named Hard Candy Fitness, after her 2008 album, the chain will open the first gym in Mexico City on Nov. 29. Madonna, 52, is expected to attend the launch opening.

A statement by Hard Candy Fitness says gyms “will open in major cities around the world,” including 10 more locations in Russia, Brazil, Argentina, Europe and Asia. No gyms are immediately planned for the United States, but the statement noted that more locations are possible in the future.

“Hard Candy Fitness will be a reflection of Madonna’s point of view and will reflect her input on every detail including music space, light and other design cues,” Mastrov said. “Madonna’s touch will be everywhere.”
