Wind- turbine manufacturer Vestas says John Deere Wind Energy has placed an order for 50 wind turbines that can produce 90 megawatts.
Vestas American Wind Technology says its Colorado factories in Windsor, Brighton and Pueblo will make components for the turbines, which are for the Michigan Wind II project near Minden City, Mich.
A dollar figure wasn’t disclosed. Vestas says delivery is scheduled for mid-2011.
