ASPEN, Colo.—Mountain ranges across Colorado’s Western Slope are under an avalanche watch with more than 2 feet of snow expected as a storm intensifies overnight.
Ranges in the watch area include the San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado, Ruby Range, the El Mountains around Aspen, the Grand Mesa near Grand Junction, and the Flat Tops and Park Range areas.
The National Weather Service predicts up to 10 inches of snow in western Colorado by Sunday night.
