FLEMING, Colo.—Adam Marostica led Idalia to its second straight Class A 6-man state championship and eighth overall, finishing with 337 yards rushing and receiving and scoring six touchdowns in a a 70-36 victory over Fleming on Saturday.
Marostica ran for 216 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries, and the senior also caught four passes for 121 yards and two scores.
Idalia (12-0) is 24-0 the last two seasons. The school ran 11 plays for 157 yards and 22 points in the first quarter alone.
Marostica scored Idalia’s first two TDs on runs of 13 and 63 yards.
Fleming (10-2), which played host to its first title game, was down 28-0 before scoring a touchdown in the second quarter.
