“Cloud seeding” takes on a whole new meaning with the launch of Opper Sports Productions’ new video on-demand service dedicated to the ski-snowboard movie genre. The cloud-based VOD service allows users to purchase videos from the industry’s top producers and directors, including Teton Gravity Research, Warren Miller Entertainment, X-treme Video, Standard Films and Fuel TV, downloading them directly to their iTunes library.
Viewing rights never expire. Users can use the “watch now” feature to instantly stream video directly to any computer or compatible Internet-connected device (iPad or smartphone). Prices range from $2.49 for TV shows to $9.99 for library titles and $14.99 for new releases.
