SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Evan Washington scored seven of his 14 points in overtime to lead Air Force to a 74-66 victory over Wofford on Wednesday night.
The Falcons (3-1) went 4-for-4 from the field and scored eight of the first 10 points in the extra period to win their first game on an opponent’s home court since a 71-64 victory at Northern Colorado on Dec. 6, 2008.
Noah Dahlman’s layup pulled Wofford (2-4) within 64-61 with 1:36 left, but Taylor Broekhuis made a layup and the Falcons went 6-of-10 from the free-throw line the rest of the way to seal it.
