Florence quarterback Cody Nichols led the Huskies’ earlier win over Olathe with 132 yards rushing and two touchdowns. . . . The Huskies’ punishing ground attack churned out four rushing touchdowns — three by Tyler Faoro—in last week’s 27-16 victory over Platte Canyon. . . . The Pirates scored 14 consecutive points in the second half to rally for a 14-11 victory last week at Faith Christian.

Kent Denver boasts one of the hottest defenses in the state, producing six consecutive shutouts to end the regular season before recording playoff wins against Coal Ridge and Aspen. . . . The Sun Devils’ stingy defense will be tested by a Brush offense that got three 100-yard performances in last week’s win against Bayfield — Skyler Seewald (139 yards), Eric Garcia (135) and Connor Weisser (134). . . . Kent Denver QB Richard Yates has completed 19-of-35 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns, adding another 95 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, in the two playoff victories.
