GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Firefighters are looking for a shopper who may have been trapped when part of a ceiling in a thrift store collapsed in western Colorado.
Fire Department spokesman Mike Page says managers at the Salvation Army store in Grand Junction think one patron might not have made it out when part of the ceiling of the two-story building fell onto the first floor. He says so far, no one has responded to calls by firefighters.
Only six of the 22 people in the store were in the section where the ceiling collapsed. Page says nothing has turned up on thermal imaging equipment that registers body heat.
Page says one person was treated for respiratory problems and released and a firefighter has been treated for a cut hand.
