Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. on Friday confirmed it received notice that activist investor Carl Icahn intends to nominate five individuals for the board at the company’s annual general meeting next month.
The film-and-television production company, which has been resisting Icahn’s efforts to gain control of the company, said its momentum is “evident throughout all of the company’s business, and now is not the time to make a change.”
Lions Gate added that Icahn hasn’t articulated “a vision for Lions Gate regarding how he would improve” on the company’s results.
