DENVER—Denver police are investigating an alleged Ponzi scheme involving high school students who believed they were investing in a marijuana dispensary.

Police spokesman John White said Tuesday that investigators are working with staff and faculty at Cherry Creek High School and Regis Jesuit High School to identify witnesses and victims.

White said the students believed their money was being invested in an existing dispensary located in Denver.

Police were contacted about the alleged scam earlier this month.

There have been no arrests.
