Getting your player ready...

The skinny: This one may be the league’s most opportunistic team — the Eagles, who are an NFL-best plus-14 in turnover margin — facing the one that has let more games slip away than almost any other playoff hopeful in the Texans.

The Texans feature the league’s top rusher in Arian Foster but they have been victimized by several late-game defensive meltdowns. Houston has shown an inability to hold technique and play soundly on defense with the game on the line.

That’s a significant trouble spot against a QB like the Eagles’ Michael Vick, who can turn a busted play into a good one.

The difference will be: If the Eagles can maintain their usual December profile. No matter who is in the lineup, coach Andy Reid usually gets his team to close well down the stretch in the regular season.

The Eagles have won 10 of their last 11 December games. Vick leads the league in passer rating (106.0) and has thrown just one interception this season.

These two teams haven’t played since 2006.

The call: Eagles 30-20.
