AURORA, Colo.—Police in Aurora say the shooting of a 17-year-old girl outside a high school could be gang-related.

The girl was seriously wounded in Monday’s shooting but her current condition isn’t known.

A witness told The Denver Post that the Devils Angels gang of Aurora was involved. Police spokesman Detective Bob Friel wouldn’t comment on whether police were looking at that gang.

Friel says investigators don’t believe the teen victim was directly involved in any kind of fight before the shooting.

On Monday, another student said he saw the teen and her friends talking to people in a brown pickup. He said he then saw another car drive up and someone shoot into the crowd.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the shooter.
