BERLIN — Police in Berlin were hunting Thursday for an attacker thought to have targeted mosques with firebombs at least 10 times. The inquiry began after a firebomb was thrown early in the day at an Islamic cultural center in Berlin, sending a sheet of flame up the facade. German police said “information” was found at the scene suggesting there had been more than 10 serial attacks.
