Doctors say the 27-year-old pregnant woman who was hit by a vehicle at Central Park Boulevard and 29th Street in Stapleton has been downgraded to critical condition Friday.
The hit and run crash happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday and the driver involved fled the scene.
The victim, Laura Gorham, was taken to the hospital, where doctors were forced to deliver her baby. The baby boy did not survive.
The vehicle, a dark blue or black SUV, was last seen traveling southbound on Central Park Boulevard.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
