FORT COLLINS — The man shot and killed by Fort Collins officers Wednesday has been identified as 49-year-old Raymond Frederick Ault of Fort Collins.

Ault died from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, according to Larimer County deputy coroner Dr. Michael Burson.

Police had gone to Ault’s home to serve four felony warrants.

Three Fort Collins police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave following the shooting. They are Sgt. Jon Holsten, a 15-year veteran of the department; Officer Adam Ruehlen, an 11-year veteran; and Officer Josh Goldschmidt, who has been a Fort Collins officer for a year.
