GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Investigators are trying to determine what caused a truck to catch fire at an Antero Resources well pad between Silt and Rifle.
The Rifle Fire Protection District says one person was taken to the hospital after the fire Thursday. His name and condition weren’t released.
Fire officials say the truck was used to heat water to clean well fracturing tanks.
Local Antero operations manager Jon Black told The Daily Sentinel the truck belonged to an Antero contractor, whom he declined to identify.
