LONGMONT, Colo.—A new Walmart super center will open in Longmont early next year and the company plans to hire 200 workers.
The Bentonville, Ark.-based retailer has opened a hiring center for the 206,930-square-foot center under construction. The Boulder Daily Camera reports that Walmart is hiring for both full- and part-time positions.
Employees at the existing Walmart store will move to the super center, but 200 more workers will be needed.
The infusion of new jobs comes as another store is closing. SmartCo Foods is shutting down its five Colorado stories, including one in Longmont. About 100 people work there.
